Pro Bono Goes Local: A Launch Celebration for DC Pro Bono Week
The program will open with a warm welcome from Chief Judge Blackburne-Rigsby of the D.C. Court of Appeals and Chief Judge Josey-Herring of the D.C. Superior Court. Then we’ll hear from a group of inspiring legal services attorneys who will provide valuable updates on community legal needs and identify specific ways pro bono attorneys can get involved.
Don’t miss this chance to find out about the most pressing pro bono needs of the day. Our lightning round experts will give updates about these important pro bono practice areas: immigration, public benefits, domestic violence, and consumer
issues. We’ll hear from:
- Estefanía Chávez Higgins, Catholic Charities DC (Immigration)
- Allison Miles-Lee, Bread for the City (Public Benefits)
- Aída Vindell, DC Volunteer Lawyers Project (Domestic Violence)
- Erik Goodman, Tzedek DC (Consumer)
Join us to kick off our DC Pro Bono Week 2023 celebration and catch up with colleagues and friends! We’ll share a wealth of information on the hot topics in pro bono and give you a chance to connect with great pro bono opportunities!
