Our January Best Practices in Pro Bono session will look at innovative ways to care for your pro bono volunteers—and yourself!—to avoid burnout and maximize the pro bono experience for clients and volunteers alike. We know how challenging and emotionally draining pro bono work can be. Our expert panel will share ways to support and encourage pro bono volunteers when the hours are long and the client emergencies are real.
Our panelists will include Kim Daulton, the Director of Social Work at Children’s Law Center, Denise Perme, Manager of the D.C. Bar Lawyer Assistance Program, and Dr. George Wheeler, a psychologist who, through an innovative programs, holds office hours at Hogan Lovells. Our panel will be moderated by Paul Lee, Pro Bono Program Coordinator at Dechert.
We will have a continental breakfast at 8:45 am; the facilitated discussion will take place from 9-10:15 am.
Start the year with realistic resolutions to take care of yourself and your pro bono volunteers!
