Join us for an intimate conversation with Associate Justice Elena Kagan of the Supreme Court of the United States.
Justice Kagan is the 112th person appointed to the Supreme Court and the 4th woman to serve as an Associate Justice. She began her career in private practice, but soon became a professor of law at the University of Chicago and later Harvard Law School. She spent four years working in the Clinton administration, then served as the Dean of Harvard Law School, and the first female Solicitor General of the United States.
William Treanor, Dean of Georgetown University Law Center, will engage Justice Kagan in a wide-ranging conversation about topics such as her love for the law and legal education, the importance of pro bono and public-interest lawyers, and the future of the legal profession.
