The two-day Litigation Skills Series: Trial Advocacy takes place on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10. Through lecture, demonstration, and small-group on your feet sessions, attendees will learn the basics of opening statements, closing arguments, direct and cross examinations, impeachment, using documents—and more. Top-notch trial lawyers provide two full days of training and plenty of individual attention and feedback.
For Washington Council of Lawyers members, this comprehensive trial-advocacy training costs just $90. For non-members, the cost is $130 for public interest and government lawyers, and $180 for those in the private sector. (Join Washington Council of Lawyers to take advantage of the discounted member tuition.) The cost includes the materials and lunch on both days.
Scholarships are available due to the generosity of the D.C. Bar Foundation; please email our Executive Director, Nancy Lopez, for information on how to apply.
CLE approval is pending and not guaranteed in CA, NY, and VA. Reciprocal credit may be available in other jurisdictions.
