If you know anything about Washington Council of Lawyers, you know that we love a good pun. Lawyers never lose their appeal. Charging a phone – you have the right to remain on silent. Leap (year) at the opportunity to do pro bono. They may make you groan or shake your head, but they always make you laugh. Thank you to everyone who entered our first-ever Pun Contest!

Enter here by Wednesday, February 20 at 5:00 pm. Please submit original text only. The subject matter can be anything related to access to justice, pro bono work,  or public-interest law. You can enter multiple times. And the best part is the prizes! Our first place winner will receive free attendance to a non-signature Washington Council of Lawyers event, a one-year membership to Washington Council of Lawyers, and a surprise gift; second place will receive a free one-year membership to Washington Council of Lawyers plus a surprise gift; and third place will receive a special surprise gift. Many contest submissions will be turned into graphics to be used on our website and social media outlets.

So, put on your most clever thinking cap, and add to the rich history of Washington Council of Lawyers puns.

And then join us at our February Happy Hour on Thursday, February 28 at Penn Commons (700 6th Street NW) from 6:30-8:30 pm where we will announce the winners. It is sure to be a fun evening!
